How to Find Free Toothpaste and Toothbrushes

I’ve been using name-brand products without paying a cent for over a year. Here’s how you can get free toothbrushes and toothpaste too!

This post contains affiliate links from which I may earn a commission at no cost to you.

If you’re trying to stick to a tight budget and cut expenses, then coupons could be your best friend! I started watching couponing videos on YouTube and following couponing accounts on Instagram when we decided to become a single-income household so I could stay home with the kids. I joined cash-back apps like Ibotta and Fetch and learned to shop sales. One of the best and most consistent savings I’ve found free toothbrushes and free toothpaste for adults and kids! I haven’t paid for toothpaste for my family of 4 in over a year and you shouldn’t have to either!

Where to Get Free Coupons For Toothpaste and Toothbrushes

Walgreens is the best place to get free toothbrushes and free toothpaste. Walgreens consistently has sales and free coupons for name-brand toothbrushes and toothpaste like Crest, Colgate, and Arm & Hammer. There are even great deals on Colgate mouthwash! Walgreens coupons can be found on the Walgreens website or app.

How to Buy Free Toothpaste and Toothbrushes

The best time to find free toothpaste and toothbrushes is when Walgreens has a sale and additional coupons that stack onto the sale price. There are also times that Ibotta will offer money back on the same products. When you combine savings, you can find very cheap or even free toothpaste and toothbrushes pretty regularly! Because you can usually get the deals on a couple of toothbrushes or toothpastes at a time and they take a while to use, you only have to buy when you find free products.

Do I Have to Pay?

Here’s where it can get confusing. Yes, you usually do have to pay for the toothbrushes and toothpaste, however, you get your money back through store credit (Walgreens Cash Rewards or Register Rewards). I’ll give you an example: Walgreens has a sale for Colgate products that are 2 for $4 each but they also offer a $3 Register Rewards if you buy 2 products. Additionally, Walgreens has a coupon for $2.50 off select Colgate toothbrushes and $2.50 off select Colgate toothpaste. If you buy 1 Colgate toothpaste and 1 Colgate toothbrush using the coupons, you only spend $3 out of pocket. Then, you get the $3 back as store credit in Register Rewards.

Tips to Success

To succeed at a transaction like this, you need to first make sure you clip the coupons online to your account so they are automatically tied to your phone number at checkout. You also need to make sure you purchase the correct products that participate in both the sale price and coupon. Finally, you need to be aware that Register Rewards expire weekly. That means you’ll need to spend that $3 in-store within a week of your purchase to make sure you are using the money back. I like to do multiple transactions on the same day or to use my Register Rewards on other deals early the next week.

Learning Walgreens Couponing

If you’re new to Walgreens couponing, it can be a little overwhelming. Thankfully there are great accounts like gmecoupons and couponswithalysia that post great beginner-level deals each week on Instagram! I find most of my free toothpaste and free toothbrush deals from gmecoupons when she posts the best deals for the week each Sunday. If you’re looking to dive deeper into Walgreens couponing, I suggest learning from Jody Dunn on YouTube. You can also find out more about coupon and cash-back policies at Walgreens here.
