Start Your Capsule Pantry
Do you know what foods you want to always have on hand or are the contents of your pantry a surprise?
This year I’ve been working hard to cut down my grocery budget and one of the things I’ve found most helpful in this is creating a Capsule Pantry. It’s like a Capsule Wardrobe only the white t-shirt is 6 cans of diced tomatoes!
Here’s How I Made a Capsule Pantry:
- Looked at all the recipes my family loves and found overlapping non-perishable ingredients
- Made a list of these ingredients and decided how many of each ingredient I should have on-hand at all times
- Used that list to check my pantry before going to the story to make sure I always have the common ingredients for our favorite meals.
I’ve found that its helped me stay organized, cut down on spending, eliminated accidentally forgetting to buy things at the store, and eased the stress of meal planning!
