Equipment

  • 1 food processor or blender
  • 1 Bowl
  • 4 snack-size baggies

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Blitz the oats in a food processor, or blender very quickly until most of the oats are cut, but only 1/2 of the oats have turned to flour
  • In a bowl, mix the salt into the oats until combined
  • Add additional mix-ins as desired and stir until combined.
  • Portion out the oatmeal into air tight Ziplock bags with a 1/2 cup in each.

Notes

- When ready to eat, mix with 1 cup of water and microwave for 1-2 minutes. Allow to cool and thicken before eating
-When blitzing the oats, blitz for 2-3 seconds, then shake the oats around and blitz again. This will allow most of the oats to get cut instead of leaving full oats sitting on top of oat flour in the blender.
-This is a copycat recipe for the Original flavor of Quaker oatmeal packets. To create other flavors, try adding raisins, craisins, cinnamon, brown sugar, almond slivers, etc. Be aware that any additions may add additional calories.
