Pizza has always been a favorite meal at our house, but after I decided to stay home with the kids, it wasn’t always within the budget for a single income. That set me on a mission to find ways to make my own pizza for cheaper! I was also learning to make my own bread to save money. However, I was raising 2 under 2, I ran into problems sticking to proving and baking times, and the dough and kids kneading me at the same time! (See what I did there with that pun?) That’s when I discovered a thrifted bread machine that made my life so much easier!

Ingredients In All Purpose Flour Pizza Dough
- Warm Water: Speeds up the yeast rising. Use water that is warm but under 105 degrees F to keep it from killing the yeast. Most bread machines will heat dough as it kneads so you should be ok using room temp water as well.
- Olive Oil: Keeps the crust from losing moisture and drying out as it bakes
- All Purpose Flour: You can substitute bread flour into this recipe as well, but it does slightly change the texture. Both are delicious!
- Salt: adds flavor to your dough
- Sugar: Helps the crust brown and adds flavor
- Quick Rise Yeast: Speeds up rising time so you can get dinner on the table sooner!
How to Make Bread Machine Pizza Dough
To make All Purpose flour pizza dough in the bread machine, start by adding all the ingredients to the machine in the order listed in the recipe. If you add the ingredients in a different order, you risk killing the yeast and causing the dough to not rise properly. After that, set your bread machine to the “Dough” setting and let it do the work of kneading and proving for you! An hour and a half or so later, you’re all set to roll out a stretchy, risen dough for your family pizza night!
When your pizza dough is all rolled out on a floured surface, transfer it to a greased, large 16″ pizza pan. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice! To cook, bake the pizza in the oven at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Let it cool and enjoy!

Notes
Benefits of Pizza Dough in a Bread Machine
Bread machines take out the majority of work from making pizza dough. No kneading or proving for you to worry about, just set up the ingredients and roll out the dough about an hour and a half later! Another great thing about this All Purpose flour pizza recipe for the bread machine is that you can easily make it ahead of time! For best results, take it out of the bread machine right away when the cycle is completed. If you’re not ready to use it, throw it into a covered, greased bowl in the fridge for up to 5 days!
